Avon Lake Dog Park Rules and Regulations.

  1. The City does not supervise use of off-leash areas, and anyone using the area does so at his or her own risk.
  2. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the fenced area.
  3. Only two dogs per person are allowed.
  4.  Dogs must be healthy, fully immunized, de-wormed, licensed as set forth in Section 618.08, and wearing ID tags as set forth in Section 618.095.
  5. Puppies under four months old are prohibited.
  6. Female dogs in heat and non-neutered male dogs are prohibited.
  7. Dogs must be leashed prior to and upon leaving the fenced area, as set forth in Section 618.01,  and owners must have a leash visible at all times while the dog is off leash in fenced area.
  8. Dogs must never be left unattended or out of owner's sight, as set forth in Section 618.02.
  9. Owners must remain within the fenced area at all times.
  10. Dogs must be removed immediately at the first sign of aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs.
  11. Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries caused by their dogs.
  12. Owners are required to clean up and dispose of all waste. See Section 660.03 regarding littering.
  13. No food, smoking, treats or chew items are allowed inside the fenced area.
  14. The park is open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.
  15. Failure to comply with the posted rules and regulations will result in expulsion from the park. Continued failure on subsequent visits may result in permanent revocation of privileges.
