Weiss Field

This is the largest community park in Avon Lake with approximately 79 acres. Weiss Field offers a variety of recreational activities for the community including two reservable picnic pavilions, a bike/skate park, a basketball court, playground equipment, a horse arena, and eleven baseball/softball fields. The park also has bridle/walking trails for visitors to enjoy and it is also the location for our annual Firework Display around the Fourth of July. The park recently underwent a $1 million dollar renovation funded by the City of Avon Lake and the Avon Lake Youth Baseball Federation. The fields have improved drainage, new dugout areas, new fencing, and an improved parking area. We will soon add bleacher shades to protect spectators from the sun and other weather conditions. This park is located on Webber Road between Route 83 and Moore Road.
