Love-A-Stray Dog Division is hosting a 5K run and dog walk on April 29 at the Avon Lake Towne Center.

The rescue group is also asking the community to submit design ideas for T-shirts that will be given to each of the 5K participants. Registration for the 5K is $20 before the race, and $25 day-of. Also part of the event is a 1-, 2- or 3-mile dog walk after the race. Registration for the dog walk is $12 per family in advance, and $15 per family the day of.

Registration on race day will begin at 8 a.m. The race will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the dog walk at 10:30 a.m.

All proceeds will benefit Love-A-Stray, a non-profit volunteer organization.
