The Engineering and Planning Department serves the City of Avon Lake, Ohio by designing and constructing city projects improving the infrastructure, ensuring proper construction in the right-of-way of subdivisions, managing the process of getting applicants to Planning Commission.
Construction Schedule
The City of Avon Lake's Engineering and Planning Department's update the construction schedule on a monthly basis. The construction schedule is available in Microsoft Word or Adobe .pdf formats.

Planning Commission Applicants:
To be qualified and ready for presentation at the next , scheduled Planning Commission meeting, a project must
have been through at least one submittal cycle with all departmental comments addressed and resolved by 4:30pm on the Tuesday
of the week before the scheduled meeting. If the project is deemed ready for the next Planning Commission meeting,
fourteen sets of plans are to be delivered to the Engineering and Planning Department by 10:00 am on the following Thursday. This is to ensure that the
meeting agenda packets are delivered to Planning Commission member on the Thursday afternoon.
