440-930-4135The Avon Lake Old Firehouse Community Center was developed in a community effort to provide recreational programming for seniors and teens. Through the efforts of Avon Lake residents who raised approximately $20,000 for building improvements, this former fire station was converted into a community center which includes three programming rooms. The building now features a hardwood floor for dancing and other activities requiring a hard surface. The building also has a small meeting room and an entertainment room complete with an electric keyboard, a large screen television, a pool table, foosball and air hockey. The most spectacular room in the building is the atrium that provides scenic outdoor views from the comfort of the indoors.
