From Senior Lunches to Breakfast with the Easter Bunny; from a hot summer day of splashing at the award-winning Ellen Trivanovich Aquatics Center to a brisk winter afternoon on the frozen surface of the Bleser Ice Rink; and from the Dog Park to the Bike Trails to the Boat Launch and fishing pier, the Avon Lake Parks & Recreation Department truly has something for everyone.
Now with 14 parks, there is even more fun, adventure, and scenic beauty just around the corner of every citizen. Baseball fields, playgrounds, and awesome Lake Erie sunsets are common. Neighborhood parks - that create friendly gathering places- and grand specialty parks - that showcase, for example, our premier sporting facilities - are scattered throughout the community. Each one different and special; each one a clean and safe example of our commitment to community.
A myriad of diverse programs fill our schedule. On-going favorites complement special seasonal events, while adult educational programming mixes with preschool fun. Great affiliations, profession instructors, and casual gatherings provide a mix of activities that match the demands of all ages, and all interests. Driven by public input, the programming of the Avon Lake Parks & Recreation Department is not only truly , fun, rewarding, and engaging, but also truly unique...truly Avon Lake!
