Avon Lake is proud to offer a youth tackle football program for fifth and sixth grade residents of Avon Lake.  This is an instructional football league that does not require tryouts.  Each player is required to play a minimum of 10 plays per game.  Program participants play in the Little Southwest League which includes teams from Fairview Park, Bay Village, North Olmsted, Rocky River, Sheffield Village, Lakewood, Lutherean West, and Avon.  Games are held on Saturdays for eight weekends beginning in September.  Practices begin in early August and take place three days per week.  This curriculum-based program requires participation in most practices.   

Registration Information

The Registration fee is $150.00.  Teams will be assigned based upon a balance of size, age, and previous skill.  We are unable to honor special requests for team placement.  Registration is limited to the first 100 registrants.  Once we reach our registration limits we will begin a waiting list.  We are unable to guarantee that children on the waiting list will be placed on a team because this depends on if another participant drops out of the program.  If we are able to place your child on a team we will contact you.  This program is for Avon Lake residents only.
