• Recreation Department

The Recreation Department oversees and coordinates all recreational activities, programs, and facilities for the City of Avon Lake. The department consists of a full-time Recreation Director, full-time secretary, and a Recreation Commission that serves as an advisory board to the Director. The commission is comprised of a total of five members; three citizen and one representative each from City Council and the Board of Education. Both the Director and Commission members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council.

Avon Lake, Ohio 44012-1699.
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Avon Lake Parks and Recreation Commission:
The Avon Lake Recreation Commission meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Lake House at Veteran's Memorial Park.
