T he main purpose of the Service Department is to keep the City of Avon Lake clean, safe and fun by maintaining the streets, right-of-ways, storm water system, traffic control signs and lights. The Service Department of Avon Lake also maintains City owned property, buildings and parks.
The Compost Pile:
The Service department offers free compost as a service to residents of Lorain County. The compost pile is located behind the building department and is open all year round. Please no motorized loading equipment is allowed.
Application For Employment:
The Service Department is always accepting applications for seasonal part-time work. Applications are available for download in both Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF Formats.
