The Saturday after Thanksgiving has for several years been recognized across the country as Small Business Saturday, and the City of Avon Lake recognizes that tradition while adding a focus on its local businesses. “Shop Local—Shop Avon Lake” is an event that is designed to generate more traffic on that Saturday for the shops, restaurants, and other small businesses located in Avon Lake.
