Avon Lake’s Tree Commission was established in 1994 to advise Council, the Urban Forester (fka Municipal Arborist), the Planning Commission and the Mayor on matters concerning the establishment, care and disposition of trees and shrubs on all City managed properties, including tree lawns. The Commission encourages all property owners to help protect and grow healthy trees and shrubs to support an urban forest that will provide long-lasting benefits to all of Avon Lake’s residents and visitors.
