The Community Relations Board works with City of Avon Lake (City) residents, businesses, organizations, faith-based institutions, and the City's Building and Zoning Departments to promote and enforce Fair Housing and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) objectives, initiatives, and laws.
Members
The Community Relations Board consists of five (members), including three (3) representatives of City administration, one (1) City Council representative, and two members of the community appointed by City Council. Appointed members serve two (2) year terms. For matters pertaining to State and Federal Funding, the City Finance Director serves as the Fair Housing Officer, Equal Opportunity Officer, and Complaint Officer.
