About
Avon Lake's Boards and Commissions play an important role in the operation of City government. From reviewing zoning matters to helping preserve historic treasures and resources, advising on community policies, these bodies support informed decision-making and public engagement.
Meeting times and locations vary, and all meetings are open to the public. To learn more about each Board or Commission and its members, visit the pages listed in the sidebar navigation. Agendas and minutes are also available to provide insight into current topics and ongoing work.
Members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council and serve in advisory and, in some cases, decision-making roles on issues affecting the community. Residents interested in being considered for appointment to a Board or Commission may contact Clerk of Council Valerie Rosmarin at vrosmarin@avonlake.org.
