Nominations for Citizen of the Year/Project of the Year Awards
Avon Lake Community Council is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Citizen of the Year and Project of the Year.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Nomination forms are available at Avon Lake Public Library (32649 Electric Boulevard), Avon Lake City Hall (150 Avon Belden Road).
Citizen of the Year nominees must be Avon Lake residents who have provided significant service to the City as a volunteer, without monetary reward. Nominees may belong to a service organization, though it is not a requirement. Project of the Year nominees may be individuals or groups who have led or contributed significantly to a project that merits community-wide recognition and has positively impacted the community and residents of Avon Lake. Award winners will be honored at a special event in Avon Lake Public Library in the spring.
