Avon Lake to host ribbon cutting for Aurelia Behavioral Academy on July 25
07/17/2025 – Avon Lake, Ohio – The City of Avon Lake will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Aurelia Behavioral Academy located at 32730 Walker Road, Suite J-2, on Friday, July 25 at 3:30 p.m. This event is open to the public.
Aurelia Behavioral Academy provides a variety of specialized programs tailored to meet the unique needs of children and adolescents with autism, from life skills development to school readiness. Aurelia’s Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Jodi Weber is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families affected by mental, behavioral, and developmental challenges, including autism. Her rapidly growing team works across disciplines to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to clients. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work with clients to develop individualized treatment plans, and conduct caregiver support meetings, while Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs) work directly with clients to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
“During my time as a licensed mental health professional, I have witnessed the transformative power of multidisciplinary collaboration to meet each individual’s needs,” said Weber. “At Aurelia, our experienced team of professionals work closely with each child to develop tailored, holistic treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals. We collaborate with families to support their loved ones both within and beyond our walls by providing ABA services in-center, in-home, virtually, and out in the community. Our team is genuinely invested in every client.”
"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Aurelia Behavioral Academy to Avon Lake,” said City of Avon Lake Community Development Director Ted Esborn. “Their dedication to nurturing transformational skills in children and adolescents with autism through compassionate therapy aligns perfectly with our community's values. Aurelia's commitment to fostering personal growth, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing the overall quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities will undoubtedly make a significant positive impact on the lives of many residents.”
“Our goal is to be a guidepost for anyone who helps families with children diagnosed with autism, from pediatricians to therapists to school counselors,” said Weber. “Avon Lake is an ideal location for Aurelia’s ABA center, because it’s a great community and a convenient, attractive location for families to access our services.”
