Avon Lake announces Haunt the House Contest

09/29/2025 – Avon Lake, Ohio – Think you have the most spook-tacular house in Avon Lake? Prove it. Enter the City of Avon Lake’s Haunt the House Halloween contest for a chance to win prizes provided by local businesses.

This contest is open to Avon Lake residents only. To enter, send photos of your decorated home or yard and your name and address to the Avon Lake Recreation Department at alrec@avonlake.org by Monday, October 13, 2025.

Voting will take place online from Friday, October 17 through Friday, October 31, 2025. A voting link will be available on the city’s website beginning October
17.

The contest winner will be announced on Monday, November 3.
