City of Avon Lake to hold ribbon cutting for Little Buckeye Learning Center
09/30/2025 – Avon Lake, Ohio – The City of Avon Lake will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Little Buckeye Learning Center located at The Landings, 445 Avon Belden Road, Suite G, Avon Lake, Ohio 44012, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
Founded in 1971, Little Buckeye Learning Center (LBLC) has been a trusted childcare provider for families in the Greater Columbus area. More recently, LBLC has begun expanding its footprint to the Greater Cleveland area with 3 new centers planned, including its new location at The Landings in Avon Lake. A fourth location in North Ridgeville is planned next year.
“We chose Avon Lake because it’s a vibrant, family-centered community where children truly thrive,” said LBLC Avon Lake Center Director Becky Volle. “With its strong schools, supportive neighborhoods, and a shared commitment to kids’ futures, Avon Lake is the perfect home for Little Buckeye Learning Center.”
Families are invited to tour LBLC’s beautiful Avon Lake facility and check out their spacious classrooms and unique learning areas like Bucky's Big Reading Room and Bucky's Learning Lab. The facility also features large, family-focused “Commons” areas where families are encouraged to congregate and enjoy a cup of coffee or snack, and fun take-home activities.
“Little Buckeye Learning Center's decision to expand into Avon Lake speaks volumes about the strength and future of our community,” said City of Avon Lake Community Development Director Ted Esborn. “Increased availability of high-quality childcare for families contributes to the overall quality of life we work hard to maintain in Avon Lake. In choosing our city, Little Buckeye is not only helping fill a critical need, but also reinforcing our reputation as a vibrant, growing community where families and businesses alike want to put down their roots.”
LBLC serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years with engaging, age-specific programming, family-oriented programming, engaging family activities, and community events.
“Little Buckeye Learning Center is so much more than childcare,” said Volle. “We’re a community where children and families grow together. In addition to our excellence in care and education, what makes us unique are the ‘extras’ we provide, from seasonal family programs to dynamic school-age programs designed to inspire creativity, independence, and confidence. By focusing on families and offering the highest quality care and education, Little Buckeye gives children so much more than a place to learn, we give them a place to thrive.”
