Avon Lake to hold annual Light Up the Park event on November 22

11/14/2025 – Avon Lake, Ohio – The City of Avon Lake will host its Light Up the Park Holiday Celebration on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 2:30-6:30 p.m. This free event will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, culminating in the City’s annual lighting ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 6:00 p.m.
 
What: The City of Avon Lake Light Up the Park Holiday Celebration
 
Where: Veteran’s Memorial Park (32756 Lake Road) and The Old Firehouse (100 Avon Belden Road)
 
When: Saturday, November 22, 2025, 2:30-6:30 p.m. (lighting ceremony with Santa at 6:00 p.m.)
 
Scheduled activities include (all activities will be held at Veteran’s Memorial Park unless otherwise noted):
 
* Live reindeer and petting zoo
* Photos with holiday characters
* Kids crafts and activities in the Lake House
* Live ice sculpture demonstration
* Carolers spreading holiday cheer
* CLE Market Holiday Craft show (at the Old Firehouse)
* Warm drinks, food, and sweet treats available for purchase from Cafe Melissa's and Emilie's Coffee Park lighting ceremony with Santa at 6:00 p.m.
 
New to the Light Up the Park Holiday Celebration is a light parade featuring Santa. A light parade is a festive procession of floats, vehicles, and decorated with holiday lights. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Bleser Park and end at Veteran’s Memorial Park for the lighting ceremony.
