Parade Permits

City Ordinance 412.07 provides information regarding Parades. A parade is defined as 10 or more persons on foot, or 3 or more vehicles or equestrians, standing or moving on any public roadway. Any person may apply to hold a parade. The application needs be submitted at least ten days before the proposed time of the parade. For the full ordinance, click here.


The City of Avon Lake only has the authority to grant parade permits on city-owned streets. Events on private streets must be approved by the entities authorized to do so. To see the master street list, click here.
