Project Update: Lake Road Sidewalk Installation from S.R. 83 to the City's East Corporation Limit

The City-sponsored project to install new sidewalk along Lake Road (U.S. 6) to fill in gaps in the existing sidewalk network from S.R. 83 east to the City's Corporation Limit, including Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at Armour Road and Jaycox Road has moved into the property acquisition phase. In order for the project to be completed, new permanent and/or temporary right-of-way and/or easements will need to be acquired from some parcels along the path of the new sidewalk.

This acquisition process will adhere with all ODOT and Federal requirements, and entails several steps. The City has retained the services of TranSystems Real Estate Consulting to complete this acquisition process. Impacted residents will receive an introductory letter from TranSystems Real Estate Consulting that briefly explains the process and contact information residents can reach out to with any questions.

TranSystems Real Estate Consulting has retained appraisers John D'Angelo from Keystone Valuation Group and Terry Pool from Allied Appraisals to complete the appraisals on the project. The appraiser or someone from their office may contact owners to set up a time to inspect the property as part of the appraisal process.
