Light Up the Park Holiday Celebration
Join us for the Light Up the Park Holiday Celebration on Saturday, November 22 from 2:30–6:30 p.m. at Veterans’ Memorial Park. This year’s event is bigger and brighter than ever — a perfect kickoff to the holiday season for the whole family.
Free Family Fun
- NEW — Light Parade with Santa | Parade starts at Bleser Park at 5:30 p.m. and ends at Veteran's Memorial Park for the lighting ceremony
- NEW — Live reindeer
- NEW — Photos with holiday characters – bring your camera or phone!
- NEW — The CLE Market Holiday Craft Show for unique gifts at the Old Firehouse
- NEW — Free kids’ winter crafts inside the Lake House (while supplies last)
- Carolers spreading holiday cheer
- Park lighting ceremony at 6:00 p.m.
- Warm drinks, food, and sweet treats available for purchase from Café Melissa and Emilie's Coffee
Deck the House - Holiday Lights Contest
Is your home the brightest on the block? Do your holiday lights twinkle for all to see? Is your house the most festive spot in Avon Lake? Then it’s time to pull out the wreaths, lights, and reindeer—it’s your chance to shine!
How to Enter:
Decorate your home or business, snap a picture of your masterpiece, or take a video and email it to ALREC@avonlake.org with your family name and street address by Monday, December 15, 2025.
Contest Rules:
- Open to all Avon Lake residents.
- Displays must be completed between November 2025 and December 14, 2025.
- Entries are due by Monday, December 15, 2025.
- By submitting, you grant Avon Lake Recreation permission to use your photo/video in promotional materials.
