Boards & Commissions Vacancies
Community involvement is essential to ensuring a well-functioning and responsive government. Avon Lake offers residents the opportunity to contribute their experience, knowledge, and civic pride by serving on various Boards and Commissions. Avon Lake residents who are registered and qualified electors are encouraged to apply.
The following Boards and Commissions will have vacancies effective January 1, 2026.
- Civil Service Commission | 6-year term
- Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) | 3-year term
- Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) Housing Council | 3 -year term
- Communications & Technology Commission | 3-year term
- Environmental Affairs Advisory Board (EAAB) | 2-year term
- Historical Preservation Commission | 2-year term
- Parks & Recreation Commission | 3-year term
- Planning Commission | 5-year term
- Tree Commission | 3-year term
- Zoning Board of Appeals | 5-year term
