Avon Lake residents and businesses can help keep our waterbodies clean by adopting storm drains in their neighborhoods and committing to cleaning them regularly.

When it rains, stormwater carries grass clippings, leaves, cigarette butts, pesticides, pool chlorine, fertilizers, antifreeze, paint, gasoline, motor oil, and animal waste directly into our creeks and Lake Erie. In response Avon Lake is implementing an adopt a storm drain program.

The adoption process will be quick and easy, but we haven’t fine tuned the program yet. If you are interested in helping keeping our waterbodies clean, please fill-out the form below and we will be in touch when the program gets underway. We are aiming to kick-off the program in the fall before the leaves start falling.
